Joseph Austria is a Theater carpenter, technician, and designer from the New York Metropolitan area who is a graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey. He completed his BA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Tech/Design, and obtained a music minor as well. At his time at Ramapo College, he has worked as a Student Aide for the college’s scene shop and as a theater technician for Berrie Center events. He has also designed for multiple shows at Ramapo, including various sound, lighting, and set designs. He is starting to venture outside of Ramapo College as he has designed and worked for Urban Stages in New York City and The Rosen PAC in Wayne. He has also done non-theater production work with companies such as MetroMultimedia and L & J Tech Services doing various lighting and stagehand projects. He is currently the Technical Director/Set Designer at Don Bosco Prepatory High School.
